Activating Peripheral Soft-Focus Vision -Allowing the Outside In
this is one of the techniques grouped with the color/light modalities for creating change in the Resonance Repatternings. The technique: with your face facing forward, bring your hands up to eye level and start wiggling your fingers. Keeping your face facing forward, move your hands with your wiggling fingers away from each other to the sides of your face. Bring your hands with your wiggling fingers back in front of your face and lift one and lower one. Bring your hands with your wiggling fingers back to center again and then slowly start moving them around and about, varying the distance, direction, and speed. How away from the center point can you move your hands and still see them while keeping your face facing forward?
The benefit: Peripheral soft-focus vision activates your parasympathetic nervous system (PNS), which allows for relaxation and for relationship bonding. It enables you to have a broad, global perspective, to be in touch with your feelings and to see movement rather than sharp details. Note: remove your glasses or contact lenses as they will focus your eyes for you. What benefits have you noticed? how soft are your eyes usually? Enjoy!
