Mantras to Activate the Chakras

Tuning the Body

The technique:

• vocalize the chakra seed sound (see the chart below!)
• and 'play' with: 
  • adding in colors to match the seed sounds - for Water, the color is orange.
  • being aware of the corresponding chakra location - in this case, the pelvis, about level with the bikini line
  • changing the pitch -  see the chart below for correlations between pitch and time frames
  • changing the length of vocalization - ie long and drawn out, short

The benefit: This is an easy way to bring the a chakra back into balance.  

Example: 

Perhaps you're having trouble getting things done.  You look at the chart and see that 'I do' is part of the root chakra and conclude: this could be a root chakra thing.  Looking at the top chart, you find the Mantra for the root chakra is 'Lam.'  To bring the chakra into greater balance, chant 'Lam Lam Lam Lam'  This could be pronounced 'Laaaaaaaaam   Laaaaaaaaam   Laaaaaaaaam   Laaaaaaaaam' etc or 'La La La La mmmmmmm'  or 'Laaaammmmmmm Laaaammmmmmm Laaaammmmmmm Laaaammmmmmm' etc.  Play with it.  You can keep the same pitch or change it.  You can add in thinking about a tomato red color near your tailbone or around your whole body or wherever you like.  Simply see what works. 

What benefits have you noticed?

Whenever you're thinking, 'gee, I wish I could get more things done!' maybe play with this!  And then at the end of the month maybe reflect a moment on whether or not things have changed during the course of the month?
