Curiosity

Happy Cat!

The other day I was thinking I could use an NLP technique!  I wanted to make sure I did it right, so I got 'hold of my copy of the book NLP: The Essential Guide to Neuro-Linguistic Programming, by Tom Hoobyar and started flipping through pages.

Well - I know it's in there.  But I didn't find it.  So I kind of winged it.

Then I figured, "well, why not do something?" So I let the book open on its own and I landed on p79 and read: Curiosity: A Preferred State

You don't say?

Apparently it's good for creating neutrality AND it promotes T Cells! (!)
Here's what I read:

I did some research on emotions and I found that the emotion of curiosity is really a curious emotion. It’s a very neutral and engaging emotion that affords you greater flexibility.

All parts of the body like curiosity. Curiosity actually helps grow T cells! It helps grow new synapses in the brain so the immune system gets stronger. People function better when they’re engaged and curious.

When you’re curious about something, a lot of the blocking self-talk and images go away. Once you’re curiously exploring the answer to something, it’s amazing how a lot of negative stuff just disappears and how this state of information-gathering opens people to new possibilities.

Isn't that just the coolest thing?

At their page, you can read about how staying curious allows you to 'get your foot in the door,' so to speak, and prevent emotions from totally messing with you.
And as it turned out, this was a good technique for the situation I was in.

I also just discovered, in typing this up, that the process I was looking for is on pp 77-78.  hmm. That's a good one, too.  Maybe that's the next topic!

Try it out!  Tell me how it works for you!

Books

I love books! These top three books help explain some about Resonance Repatterning® and PSYCH-KTM.  I have reviews of and comments about more books with links into Amazon in my original 'Bookstore' as well as a bigger but less verbose Amazon eStore.  Whenever I do online group Resonance Repatterning® series, I include books I've referenced in the resources sections for that series.
